Student remains in critical condition almost two months after car accident

The Syracuse University student who was struck by a cab May 2 remains in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital, said Jennifer Congel, administrative assistant to the director of marketing and university communications at the hospital.

Maria Cristina Sanfeliu-Cruz, 21, has now been in critical condition for seven weeks. Sanfeliu-Cruz suffered a head injury when she was struck by an Express Taxi cab on the 700 block of Comstock Avenue.

Sanfeliu-Cruz was expected to graduate last month and earn a degree in writing and rhetoric.
