UU to host an early showing of new movie ‘Game Night’

Kiran Ramsey | Senior Staff Designer

University Union will host an advanced showing of the new movie “Game Night” on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. in Gifford Auditorium in Huntington Beard Crouse Hall. This is their first advanced screening of the semester.

“Game Night” is a mix of comedy, action and crime, starring Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, and is not set for release in theaters until Feb. 23.

Directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the movie follows characters Max and Annie as they participate in a weekly game night. Max’s brother, Brooks, gives the game a twist: a realistic murder mystery theme.

Brooks is kidnapped, and Max and Annie realize that the game has blurred lines with real life, and they must distinguish players from real threats. Eventually, they realize they are solving a real crime.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the event is free for students, faculty, staff and the public. Open captions will be provided.
