No. 10 Syracuse (5-3, 3-0 Atlantic Coast) stifled No. 7 Notre Dame (5-3, 1-1) 10-6 on Saturday in the Carrier Dome. The Orange held Notre Dame to its lowest offensive output of the season in a game which the Fighting Irish scored under 10 goals for just the third time this year. Syracuse goalkeeper Dom Madonna led the Syracuse defense, which denied all eight of ND’s extra-man opportunities, with 13 saves. Syracuse had three players with two goals in Jamie Trimboli, Nate Solomon and Brendan Bomberry.
