Quickly and efficiently switching between beautiful choruses and smooth rap, the transitions were both seamless and effortless. The fast pace and subject matter, such as drugs and romances, had audiences dancing as .Paak crooned along.

2. The Free Nationals are pretty amazing.
While .Paak’s sound was definitely good without the band — he played a few songs by himself — their additional skill kicked up the performance to a dance-inducing level. They even threw in a brief guitar solo too.

3. Schine Underground is probably the hottest place on Earth.
While the show was lit — between the dancing, rapping and singing — the crush of too many people in once place had many reaching for the complimentary water and stripping off their coats.

4. Smino sure knows how to open a show.
Working the crowd with his general cheerfulness and charm — he danced with the audience and even stayed behind to mingle with the crowd post-performance. Plus, his hair is really cool.
