Syracuse added Canisius to its schedule and will host the Golden Griffins at 7 p.m. Friday March, 29 in the Carrier Dome, SU Athletics announced on its website Friday afternoon.

It will be the first regular-season meeting between SU and Canisius. The Orange beat the Golden Griffins 20-3 in the first round of the NCAA tournament en route to a national championship in 2008. SU’s home schedule is now complete, according to the online announcement.

The Orange will play eight regular-season home games this season, starting Feb. 17 against Albany.
